About Our School : What's New Archive

Thumbs up from Ofsted!

15 December 2005

Somersham is a good school where pupils achieve well, and that's official!

An inspection team from Ofsted visited the school over a two day period at the end of November. They found that the school has made good progress since its last inspection in June 2000, and picked out a number of strengths:

One parent told the Lead Inspector, "Somersham Primary is a pleasant, well run school which my children love attending. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to any of my friends and colleagues."

Chair of Governors, Michael Payne, said "This report from Ofsted recognises the commitment and professionalism of the whole staff team at Somersham Primary School. It is a fitting endorsement of the positive start that the school provides to the lifelong learning journey for each of the children."

The full OFSTED report can be found on their website.
